Warren Central Can’t Hold Up Against Mt. Vernon

Warren Central had trouble keeping up with Mt. Vernon in a 12-4 loss on Monday.

Mt. Vernon scored five runs in the fourth inning.  Mt. Vernon‘s big inning was driven by a walk by Anelise Worden and a grand slam by Kaitlyn Nugent.

Victoria Whyde earned the win for Mt. Vernon. She went four innings, surrendering three runs, seven hits, and striking out three.  Naida Anne Stephens took the loss for Warren Central. She tossed four innings, allowing nine runs, and ten hits.

Warren Central had ten hits in the game.  Shelbie Stotts and Alise Terhune each collected multiple hits for Warren Central.  Aniah BaxterKamryn SeeAlise Terhune, and Madison Johnson each drove in one run to lead Warren Central.

Mt. Vernon collected 17 hits.  Jadan FithianCassidy ParkerSydnee PerryAnelise Worden, and Kaitlyn Nugent each collected multiple hits for Mt. Vernon.
