College Golf: IU East at Lindsey Wilson Day 2

COLUMBIA, Ky. – The Indiana University East golf teams concluded the Lindsey Wilson College Spring Fling March 27 at the Pines at Lindsey Wilson.

The IU East men’s team set multiple school records with individual and team performances. Tyler Pearson and Kole Schofield were named to the All-Tournament team with third and fifth place finishes respectively.

The IU East men came in third place with a team score of 591 to set the new 36-hole school record. The team’s 292 18-hole score on day 2 also set a new record.

Pearson took third place for the men with an overall score of 138 for a school record. His round 2 score of 98 matches the 18-hole individual record. Schofield finished fifth with a score of 144.

Breanna Nowak was the top golfer for the women’s team with a total score of 162 putting her in 8th place overall.

The Red Wolves’ men’s team will host the IU East Spring Invitational April 1 at Liberty Country Club in Liberty, Ind. The women will travel to Lebanon, Ky. to participate in the Campbellsville University Invitational April 10 and 11.
