Minnesota and Purdue Earn Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Weekly Honors
Boilermakers’ Black named Track Athlete of the Week; Gophers’ Wiebke claims Field Athlete of the Week award

Track Athlete of the Week
Symone Black, Purdue
Jr. – Fort Wayne, Ind. – Concordia 

  • Finished first in the 400-meter hurdles at the UTSA Invitational with a time of 57.71 seconds, currently the fastest time in the nation
  • Added another first-place finish in the 4×400-meter relay
  • Earns the second outdoor track weekly award of her career
  • Last Purdue Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week: Symone Black (March 23, 2016)

Field Athlete of the Week
Taylor Wiebke, Minnesota
So. – Mantorville, Minn. – Kasson-Mantorville

  • Finished first in the high jump at the Bulls Invitational
  • Personal-best mark of 1.80 meters currently ranks third in the nation
  • Collects the first Big Ten Outdoor Field weekly award of her career
  • Last Minnesota Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week: DeAnne Hahn (March 21, 2012)
