IU EAST BASKETBALL ROUNDUP FOR JANUARY 28​

WOMEN
NEW ALBANY, Ind. – The Indiana University East women’s basketball team picked up an 88-74 win at Indiana University Southeast on Jan. 28.
The NAIA Division II No. 21 Red Wolves (20-5, 11-1 River States Conference) bounced back from their first conference loss and remained unbeaten against fellow NAIA IU regional campus programs. The Grenadiers are 11-11 overall and 6-6 in the league.
Tia King scored 28 points on an efficient 11-for-14 shooting performance for IU East. Mackenzie Campbell added 23 points.
Annie Thomas tallied 22 for IU Southeast.
IU East plays at Point Park University on Feb. 3.
MEN
NEW ALBANY, Ind. – The Indiana University East men’s basketball team dropped a 104-95 decision at Indiana University Southeast on Jan. 28 in the River States Conference Game of the Week.
The NAIA Division II No. 7 Red Wolves (19-6, 10-2) had a seven-game winning streak snapped. The No. 26 Grenadiers improved to 17-4 overall and 11-1 in the league.
IU East got a career-high 33 points from Jacoby Claypool. Aaron Thomas contributed 10 points and 13 rebounds. Thomas also blocked three shots to bring his season total to 56, a single-season school record.
Demetrius Stanton (30 points) and Jamie Johnson (27 points) combined for more than half of IU Southeast’s points.
IU East plays at Point Park University on Feb. 3.
