WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Purdue senior defensive tackle Jake Replogle has been named to the watch list for the 2016 Chuck Bednarik Award, which is presented to the nation’s college defensive player of the year.
Replogle, a native of Centerville, Ohio, is a three-year letterwinner and two-year starter for the Boilermakers. Entering the 2016 season, he has amassed 113 total tackles, 72 solo stops, with 25.5 tackles for loss, five sacks and three PBUs in his collegiate career.
Replogle turned in his finest season as a junior last year, finishing fourth on the team with 60 tackles, a team-high 14.0 tackles for loss, a pair of sacks, two PBUs and a blocked kick.
