NOTRE DAME, Ind. — A pair of University of Notre Dame women’s soccer student-athletes and United States U20 Women’s National Team regulars will once again join the U.S. squad in camp for continued training ahead of the 2016 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup.

Rising sophomore Natalie Jacobs and junior-to-be Sabrina Flores will join the roster for the 12th and eighth time, respectively, during this training cycle at camp in Eland, North Carolina, beginning today through June 23. The pair also joined the team for its last camp in May in Papua New Guinea, the site of the World Cup this November.

Jacobs and Flores were key contributors to the U.S. qualifying effort at last December’s CONCACAF Championship, as the team defeated Canada 1-0 in the title match. Jacobs was named to the tournament’s Best XI team following the conclusion of play.

The U.S. is one of 16 World Cup qualifiers, with the field divided into four groups of four teams. The top two finishers in each group will advance to the quarterfinal stage with single elimination to the championship.

The U.S. will face France, New Zealand and Ghana in Group C, opening against France on Monday, November 14. They will play New Zealand on Thursday, November 17 and wrap group play against Ghana on Monday, November 21.
