Girls Basketball: @FHSTigers at @NCTrojans preview

The Fishers girl’s basketball team travels to New Castle on Nov. 28.

Tipoff is 7:30 p.m. at the New Castle Fieldhouse.

The Lady Tigers are 2-6. The Lady Trojans are 4-1.


New Castle is on a two game win streak after defeating Tri 74-22 on Nov. 17th and Delta 51-25 on Nov. 21.

Fishers is 1-0 against New Castle after a 58-26 win last season on Nov. 29, 2014.


Fishers is 2-6 this season. The Lady Tigers are on a four game losing streak with losses to Valparaiso, Lake Central, Westfield, and Zionsville.

The Lady Tigers are led by sophomore Ali Gerka with 11.5 points per game and senior Hannah Kroehler who pulls down an average of 6.1 rebounds. Senior Kara Gerka led all scorers on Nov. 29, 2014 with 25 points.


New Castle is 4-1 coming off a 51-25 HHC win at Delta on Nov. 21.

The leading scorer for the Lady Trojans is senior Samantha Underwood with 17.2 points per game. Senior Ryan Blankenship is New Castle’s leading rebounder with 6.6 rebounds per game. Senior Laura Thomas led New Castle in last year’s matchup with 10 points.

Girls Basketball: @CAB_Athletics at @NDChargers preview

The Knightstown girl’s basketball team visits North Decatur on Nov. 28.

Varsity tipoff is 12:30 p.m. at the North Decatur Jr/Sr High School gym.

The Lady Panthers are 1-3. The Lady Chargers are 3-0.


Knightstown has lot their last four games with the most recent loss being a 54-41 setback against Tri on Nov. 25.

North Decatur is 9-8 against Knightstown in the last 15 seasons. North Decatur defeated the Panthers 52-42 at Knightstown last season on Nov. 29, 2014.


This is the first of three consecutive Mid-Hoosier Conference games for the Lady Panthers.

Senior Brooke Vise leads the Panthers with 12.2 points per game and 7.2 rebounds per game.  Vise was the leading scorer for KHS in last year’s matchup with 14.


The Lady Chargers are 2-0 at home this season and are off to their first 3-0 start since the 2005-2006 season.
