The IU East men’s basketball team is now 2-0 at home after a 72-69 victory over the then undefeated Mt. Vernon Nazarene University Cougars. The #38 Red Wolves are now 7-1 and the Cougars are 6-1. Derek Blank, Red Wolves Sports Network Analyst, said that during the pregame show that it was going to be a great basketball game. Both teams strruggled with shooting the ball in the game. MVNU shot 27/72 from field goal range. Tyler Fangman scored a layup for IUE with 30 seconds left to give IU East a four point lead. Here are the leading stats for IUE:

The IU East Men’s basketball team picked up their second win of the season at the Indiana Wesleyan Caleb Dimmich Memorial Tournament on Saturday afternoon in Marion, IN. The Red Wolves defeated Oklahoma Wesleyan 89-70.

The IU East fell in their inaugural game to Taylor University Saturday afternoon 94-62. Freshman G/F Kayla Shaffer (Culver Community HS) led the way in scoring for the Red Wolves with 17 points.
